  • VISA REQUIREMENTS

  • IMPORTANT NOTES:

    Visa application must be registered on-line and appointment made prior to visiting the Embassy.

    Registration can be done via on-line platform: www.e-konsulat.gov.pl.

    For further information please visit "on-line appointment registration" section.

     

    The applicant must appear personally at the Embassy (for the tour groups over 5 persons - please contact in advance).

    The Embassy reserves the right to require additional documentation at any time.

    All the documents prepared in Thai must be translated to English language.

     

    Visa fee: the equivalent of 60 EURO in Thai Baht (NOTE: Payments are accepted in Thai Baht and cash only).

     


    TOURISM

    Tour group or travel agency must present letter specifying list of passengers, itinerary and name of partner travel agency/co-organizer in Poland as well as the plan of the trip.

    work permit
    Original document issued by relevant Polish local authorities must be presented.

    Work permit presented at the Embassy shall not be returned as it is archieved with the full documentation of the applicant. There is an additional original issued to the Employer by the Polish Authorities for whatever purpose it may serve.
    employer's written declaration

    Only in case the work permit is not required according to the Polish regulations (does not apply to Thai, Lao, Cambodian and Myanmese nationals).
    The employer's letter must confirm the intention to employ the alien as well as place and character of employment.

    health insurance
    Insurance certificate must cover the travelling period as well as the time until the actual start of performing duties (eg. indicated by the agreement). Insurance certificate issued by the Polish insurance company shall be accepted. The 30,000 Euro coverage rule does not apply.
    confirmed flight ticket reservation

    Round-trip booking rule does not apply. One-way reservations shall be accepted.

     

    *IMPORTANT NOTE:

    Visas for the purpose of carrying out work are issued only by the Polish Consul at the office relevant to the applicant's legal permanent residence / country of origin. This is a Schengen or national type of visa issued for the period of stay indicated in the work permit but not exceeding one year. Employment without prior authorization and relevant visa is strictly prohibited.

     


    VISITING RELATIVES / FRIENDS

    invitation letter / officialy registered invitation ("ZAPROSZENIE")
    Please note that there is no obligation is registereing official invitation in Poland by the host person - this procedure is a choice as it is connected with legal responsibilities. Regular invitation letter issued by the host person (not registered at "urząd wojewódzki") must indicate the dates of the trip and relations between the host and applicant. Letter must be either presented in original or sent directly to the Embassy (fax, e-mail or post). Invitation issued by appropriate Polish local authorities must be presented in original*.

    documents proving family ties
    The certification must be submitted only if the applicant and the host person are relatives, e.g. martial status, birth certificates, etc.

    marriage certificate
    If family member of Polish/EU/EEA citizens only.
    travel health insurance certificate and its copy
    Please see the requirements at "Travel Insurance" section. Polish insurance policies are accepted.

    confirmation of sufficient financial means for the applicant
    e.g. bank statements presenting the transactions / movements of the last 3 months or the tax clearance for the previous year*. Please note that officialy registered invitation ("zaproszenie") may confirm financial means for the applicant. Nevertheless presentation of regular income does prove ties with the country and may serve as one of the guarantors of return before the visa expiration.

    confirmation of sufficient financial means for the host person / guarantor
    e.g. bank statements presenting the transactions / movements of the last 3 months or the tax clearance for the previous year*. Please note that financial means provement is not required when officialy registered invitation is presented.

    confirmation of employment / private business / studies
    For company employees - original letter from employer confirming the position inthe company, date of employment, current salary and period of holiday granted required.

    For private business - confirmation of business registration required.
    For students - certificate from the school and the valid student's ID card required.

    Please note that only officialy registered invitation confirms place of accommodation. Other cases require hotel reservation or written statement of the host of character and location of accommodation.

    For residents holding non-Thai passport only.

     

     

    The host person may but is not obliged to apply for the official invitation issued by Polish local authorities (Voivodship office / urząd wojewódzki). The invitation releases the applicant and the host person from presenting the certification of sufficient financial means. Please note, that official invitation does not guarantee issuance of the visa.

     


    AIRPORT VISA (TRANSIT)
